What type of cookies do we use and when?

There are two broad classes of cookie: session and permanent.

Session cookies are used to keep track of information needed by a user and their browser on their journey through a website. Session cookies have a short lifetime and expire within a few minutes of the user leaving the site. MyDentalUniform uses session cookies to keep you logged in for the duration of your visit, to enable you to complete transactions on this website and, for example, to pre-populate forms with information to save you keying in data that you have already provided.

MyDentalUniform uses permanent cookies to record what you have added to your basket and to enable basic web traffic analysis using Google Analytics and IBM Coremetrics. We also use permanent cookies to ‘remember you’ when you return, but only if you have ticked the ‘Remember me’ facility on logging in.

E-mail communications

MyDentalUniform uses cookies in its e-mail communications to personalise the e-mail and track whether that communication has been opened and read, and whether the recipient has used the onward links contained in the e-mail. This allows us to monitor and improve our e-mail communications.
